I am so excited to share my review for a few popular sunless tanners. I have been sunless tanning since middle school, that is almost 10 years now! I swear I have tried every product available. Luckily, now that sunless tanners have become more popular, there are so many great options to try. Everyone can find a product that works for them. All of the sunless tanners I am sharing today are products that I currently have in my bathroom vanity, how embarassing. I have my favorite products, but all the tanners I am discussing today work well overall. Happy fake tanning!

Jergens Natural Glow, Daily Moisturizer, Medium to Tan
Rating: 7.5/10
Cost: $9.99
The first sunless tanner I am going to talk about is Jergens Natural Glow. I swear this tanner has been around forever. This might be the first self tanner I ever used! Throughout the years, Jergens has updated the formula in order to improve the color payoff and the scent. I use this product to keep up my tan. Once I get a spray tan or use a sunless tanner, I will use this product after I shower off the color guard. For me, the color is just not dark enough to use on its own, but it does an amazing job hydrating skin and extending my tan. (For anyone new to sunless tanning, the color guard is the instant color that appears after applying a sunless tanner/getting a spray tan, it works as a guide to show you where you are applying the product to avoid mishaps, then washes off in the shower. The colorguard is generally what leads to stained bed sheets, towels, and clothes!)

LA Tan, Luxury Sunless Mousse, Medium/Dark
Rating: 8/10
Cost: $12.99
This next product is also an older product. I happened to find this at Walmart many years ago, now the product is also on Amazon. Surprisingly, this product seriously works great! I have used the Medium/Dark color as well as Dark. This product creates a perfectly colored, natural looking, brown-toned tan. It says on the bottle that it is a 2-3 week tan, unfortunately that is not accurate. I find most self tanners to look their best the first three days and after that they begin to flake off, become patchy, and not as dark. That is how I would describe the fading process for this product. Be prepared, the colorguard is dark, it can stain clothes. I suggest applying this product at night, going to bed, and showering it off in the morning. A tanning mit is necessary for proper application of the product.

Fake Bake, Flawless Darker Self Tanning Liquid
Rating: 6.5/10
Cost: $32.00
I purchased this product because I heard great things about it! However, it fell short compared to my other favorite products. Something I love about this product is the application process. This tanner is a liquid that you spray onto yourself and then rub in using a mit. The dry time is super fast and you will not be left feeling sticky after applying. However, this product just does not get me dark enough. The colorguard is a nice color, but it seems to all come off in the shower. I love the concept of this product so I try to keep using it, but I never love the results. This product has great reviews though, so I reccomend you try it out for yourself.

St. Tropez, Extra Dark Self Tanning Mousse
Rating: 7.5/10
Cost: $45.00
I had super high expectations for this self tan, maybe too high of expectations. I love St. Tropez and expected great quality. Unfortunately, the color guard makes this product appear super dark (plan on looking like you rubbed mud all over yourself while the product works), but most of the color washes off in the shower, making the “extra” dark product, the average medium/dark St. Tropez tanner. Not worth the extra money. Something else interesting about this product is that it does scrub off easily. For me, this is a benefit. Once my self tanner starts looking patchy, I prefer a product I can scrub off (self tanner can be SO difficult to remove, side note: I have a solution for this, stay tuned for my next post!!), this is personal preference though. I will continue to use this product until it runs out, but I will not repurchase.

L’oreal Sublime Bronze Self-Tanning Towelettes
Rating: 9/10
Cost: $11.99 for 6 towels
I was shocked when I loved this product. This product is different than the other products I have reviewed because it is a towel that is covered with self tan, one towel will cover your body. This product has no color guard and will leave you with beautiful tan skin within 6 hours. This product can be a little tricky to apply, it is important to make sure you rub it everywhere or you will have terrible streaks (you do not need a mit to apply). I also find this product does turn ankles and elbows a little more orange than other products. Overall, this is a great product you can pick up at any drugstore.

St. Tropez, Self Tan Express, Advanced 1 Hour Tan
Rating: 9.5/10
Cost: $44.00
This is a great product, one of my most favorite self tanners ever, I even use this on my face. This product is unique because you can leave it on for 1 hour for a light tan, 2 hours for a medium tan, and 3 hours for a dark tan. It works wonderfully. However, I think I should clarify that after you shower 1-3 hours after application, you will not be tan right away. This product still takes 6-8 hours for color to develop, the benefit is that you can wash off the color guard to avoid staining your clothes and sheets. I cannot recommend this product enough.

Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Dark
Rating: 9.5/10
Cost: $24
I love this product. It is currently my favorite self tanning product, and it is now sold at Walgreens! I use the whole collection of Bondi Sands products to get my perfect glow. This tanner gives amazing color, lasts 3-4 days (with daily mousturizing), and smells good! This product will get you SO dark and is reasonably priced. I am going to post about my self tanning routine and the whole line of amazing Bondi Sands products soon!
I hope you enjoyed my post! If you have any questions about anything self tanning related, please comment! Thanks!
